Until recently, it was believed that adolescents independently come to self-determination of their personality in the process of mental and social development. However, recent studies have shown that parents play an important role in this process. They are interested in and involved in this process.
Israeli scientists from Bar-Ilan University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem conducted a study that involved teenagers, their parents and teachers. In the study, the researchers interviewed parents and documented what they observed in the study families. Continue reading
